Igniting passion in young people for music and doing this in an upbeat fun environment is WHY Mrs A’s Music School has invested in the BUS BAND.
What do people love about the Bus Band?
The Students
Instruments are ready to roll and don’t have to be carted to school
You get to experience Keyboards, Ukelele, Guitar, Bass, Drums and Singing in a group of fellow students
You can try a few instruments before you settle on one
It’s in school time and is kind of a version of maths, especially if you’re a drummer
Parents / Caregivers:
You don’t have to fight the traffic getting to the studio after school
It costs less than one to one lessons
Your student is more settled when you finally buy a personal instrument
It’s fun
The Schools
We don’t need your precious space to provide lessons
Less interference / noise for non music lessons
We have all the equipment and instruments on board
We’re independent and even have our own power
How does it work?
Primary school students pop out of class for 30 minutes per week and for the first few terms experience different instruments in a group minimum 3 maximum 6.
Over time they develop an interest in a particular instrument and the lessons become instrument specific in a ‘Lab’. Labs include; Keyboards, Guitar, Ukelele, Rhythm & Percussion (Drums), Singing and okay if you really want to ‘Recorder’! The Labs again are in a group minimum 3 maximum 6.
As students become more competent and are regularly practicing at home it will likely be time to advance to one to one lessons at the studio after school.
